What Utah does differently

  • Your personal filing history follows you. If any listed owner, partner, officer, member or trustee has a record of late withholding filing or payment, outstanding liabilities have to be paid and a surety bond may be required before the new account issues. Very few states look through the entity like this.
  • The threshold changed recently and half the internet is wrong about it. Utah removed its 200-transaction nexus test effective July 1, 2025, leaving the $100,000 revenue test alone. Guides written before then tell low-revenue, high-volume sellers to register when Utah no longer asks them to.

Filings we handle in Utah

Payroll tax registration in Utah

Utah checks the filing history of owners and officers. A poor record can mean clearing outstanding liabilities and posting a bond before an account issues.

Sales tax registration in Utah

Utah registers through TAP's TC-69 application and dropped its 200-transaction test in 2025, so revenue alone decides remote nexus. We file it for you.
